Credit Transfer
There are formal agreements between
educational institutions regarding credit transfer.
TAFE NSW has many credit transfer
arrangements with schools which allow you to get recognition for subjects that
you have studied at school.
With credit transfer, students who
complete the NSW Higher school certificate can obtain advanced standing in many
TAFE NSW courses. This means you may not have to do all the modules in the TAFE
NSW course in which you are enrolled. So credit transfer can speed up the time
it takes to get a TAFE NSW qualification.
When you choose your courses for the HSC
plan ahead and you can gain recognition that will help you to complete
your TAFE qualifications in a shorter time.

Admission to TAFE NSW
Advanced standing does not give automatic
entry to a course. It is given after a student has been admitted to a TAFE NSW
course.
Information about entry and enrolment
procedures can be found in the TAFE NSW Handbook, the
TAFE NSW website
, by contacting the TAFE Information Centre on 131 601or a TAFE NSW campus.
