VET in Schools
As part of your HSC studies you can take
2 units of an Industry Curriculum Framework course in Tourism and Hospitality.
It can be included in your Universities Admission (UAI) calculation. In
addition you will receive a Certificate under the Australian Qualifications
Framework. This certificate will provide credit towards the completion of a
TAFE credential in the related industry area so you can complete a higher
qualification in a shorter time.
This course involves some learning in the
workplace. This can give you a realistic insight into the industry and some
ideas about the sort of career you may like to pursue when you finish your TAFE
or university studies. Job readiness has great appeal to employers – this
course can help make you more attractive to employers.
This course is designed to provide you
with a good basis for the kind of learning you will be doing in the workplace
and helps make your learning at TAFE or University more relevant.
