The Australian National Training Authority (ANTA)
Mission Statement
To ensure that the skills of the
Australian labour force are sufficient to support internationally competitive
commerce and industry and to provide individuals with opportunities to optimise
their potential.
The Australian National Training Authority
(ANTA) was established in 1992. ANTA was set up to develop a national system of
vocational education and training, in cooperation with State and Territory
Governments, the Commonwealth Government and industry.
The Australian National Training
Authority (ANTA) is an industry-based Board,
and
is responsible for the development of national policy, goals and objectives for
vocational education and training. ANTA is also responsible for the
administration of Commonwealth funding of the national vocational education and
training system.
