Services of the hospitality industry

The hospitality industry is largely a service provider rather than a product provider - a hotel does not sell a customer an actual room of the hotel, but provides a service to allow the customer accommodation for the evening. Types of services that the hospitality industry can offer customers include: Not every establishment could, or would want to, offer all services. Each establishment therefore chooses the most appropriate product mix for the type of customer they are trying to attract. The product mix is the assortment of products, services and facilities that an establishment chooses to offer to customers.
