Everyone in the workplace is responsible for identifying health and safety risks. The occupational health and safety act identifies these responsibilities. Activity

It was a busy day at the Makedo Motel. Tom was on duty as receptionist. He picked up the breakfast tray that had been left at reception. Food, left on the plate, fell onto the floor. A guest came to the reception desk.

The supervisor asked Tom to serve the guest and leave the floor cleaning until later.

Tom did not clean up the spill on the floor, as more guests arrived.

Later in the morning a guest slipped and fell when arriving at reception.

What actions led to the guest being injured?
