This unit deals with the skills and
knowledge required to provide services associated with bell desk or concierge in
a commercial accommodation establishment. Within small accommodation
operations, these tasks may be carried out by reception or other
staff.
Bell desk services may include but are
not limited to:
- mail
- wake-up
call
- messages
- organisation
of transport
- luggage
pick up
- paging of
guests
- preparation of
guest information directories
Critical Aspects of Assessment
Demonstrate a knowledge of the range of
services offered by the bell desk, ability to provide courteous and friendly
service to guest and ability to safely handle baggage.
