Scenario 2

Jacques is now working in a Visitor Information Centre in a large city in regional NSW. He is currently studying online to complete Certificate III in Tourism. When he studied the eight different tourism sectors he thought of them as being quite independent but he's beginning to realise that they have a very strong inter-relationship.

For example, a domestic traveller and his family have booked some accommodation through their local travel agency. They use their own vehicle to drive to the destination. It would at first seem that the only tourism service or sector they need is accommodation.

However Jacques is now aware that one of the first things travellers do when arriving in a new city is to stop at the Visitor Information Centre.
