Point-of-sale operations

All equipment must be operated in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions. Team members must also follow store policy and procedures when operating point-of-sale equipment. On the job training may be required to operate the more sophisticated equipment as retailers often customise systems to suit their needs. However, other equipment operations are common to all retailers, for example EFTPOS.
