Delivery methods
After sales services are offered to ensure the complete shopping experience is enjoyed by the customer. For example, when the customer’s transaction has been completed at the point-of-sale, they may need assistance in getting the items home, or to some other destination. Many supermarkets offer a home delivery service for a small fee to meet this need. Another example of an after sales service is retailers of white goods offering installation services.
Some common after sales services include:
- home delivery/courier services
- pick up services
- gift wrapping
- installation
For any after sales service to be provided effectively the necessary documentation must be completed accurately.
Typical information needed for delivery includes:
- customer’s name
- customer’s home address or delivery address if different
- contact phone numbers
- quantity and description of merchandise
- delivery time
- any special instructions.
By being familiar with the services offered by the store and their associated paperwork team members will be able to offer exceptional service to customers.
