Introduction to Elective 1: Acts of Reading and Writing

In their responding and composing, students explore the ways in which different assumptions about reading and writing affect the language of texts.

In this elective students are required to study at least three of the prescribed texts as well as other texts of their own choosing. They consider how language shapes the relationships between readers, writers and texts.
