Catering to a diverse classroom and different learning styles
Today’s classrooms are a far more diverse environment than ever before with students from a range of backgrounds and experiences, a wider range of learning styles 
and more varied home life settings. Students with different cultural backgrounds may have different levels of comfort in working collaboratively versus individually and may bring different background knowledge to the classroom. Greater class sizes means there is greater diversity in student ability. This results in more complex learning problems for teachers and students alike.
Using ICT in teaching and learning with students of varying abilities has helped to address different learning styles and varied level of ability within the classroom.
