2. Circumference of the semi-circle = π × diameter ÷ 2
                                               = 22/7 × 2 ÷ 2
                                               = 3.14m

4. Perimeter of the concrete slab = 4 + 2 + 1 + 3.14 + 1 + 2
                                            = 13.14m
   
   
5. Area of the rectangle = 4 × 2
                                = 8m²
   
   
6. Area of the semi-circle = π × r² ÷ 2
                                  = 22/7 × 1² ÷ 2
                                  = 1.57m²
   
   
7. Total area of the concrete slab = 8 + 1.57
                                             = 9.57m²
   
   
8. Volume of concrete = Area of slab × depth
                             = 9.57 × 0.1
                             = 0.96m³
   
   One cubic metre of concrete will need to be ordered.
