| Enterprise requirements | Enterprise systems and procedures for the use of fencing tools and materials, operation of vehicles and equipment, waste disposal, recycling and the reuse of materials. |
| Erection, maintenance and repair of fencing | Construction of a fence and keeping it in good condition by fixing any components or sections that become damaged or break. |
| Fencing tools and materials | Equipment such as post drivers, post hole diggers and borers, crowbars, wire strainers and fencing pliers that are used to construct a fence from posts and wire. |
| Hazards | Sources of danger that could produce injury or disease, affecting an employee’s health and well being. |
| Manufacturer’s specifications | A set of standard requirements determined by the manufacturer for a particular vehicle, piece of machinery or equipment, tool or type of material. |

| Reusable materials | Materials such as wire, hinges, gates, netting and posts and stays that can be reused, depending on current and future needs. |
| Risk assessment | The process of judging the likelihood of hazards for a given task or project, assessing the risks associated with each hazard and the implementation of risk controls including PPE. |
| Safe work practices | Guidelines for carrying out a task safely. |
| Standard operating procedures (SOP) | Established set of procedures to be followed when carrying out a task, especially operating machinery and equipment. |
| Work plan | A document that lists designated work tasks, tools and materials, time frame and supervisor’s instructions. |
