There is a multitude of Internet sites which contain material relevant to this topic, especially the Vietnam War component. It is, therefore, important to be discriminating. The following list is very selective.
The US Library of Congress country studies include extensive material on Cambodia, Lao and Vietnam. All cover historical aspects from the colonial period up to more recent decades (mostly to 1987).

Another worthwhile site is the Asian Studies World Wide Web Virtual Library maintained at the Australian National University.

Of the many sites devoted to the Vietnam War one which
provides a lot of clearly listed links is based at the Canadian Department of National
Defence, Canadian Forces College ![]()
A more specific type of source is the online version of Robert McNamara's book,
In Retrospect: The Tragedy and Lessons of
Vietnam ![]()
Finally, for contemporary events it is worth referring to
media sites. The Age
newspaper, for example, has a special Asia online service
with links to specific countries.
Time Warner Pathfinder also has an Asiaweek
online service
where the "Newsmap"
enables
direct links to specific country news.
