Sample writing tasks
Responses to each of the following tasks should be written in Greek. (150–200 words in length).
Task 1
You have had a bad day at school. Write a diary entry on the events of your day.
Task 2
You are an exchange student who has visited a high school in Greece for a period of two months. Upon your return to Australia you have been asked to write a short report for your school magazine about the differences between schools in Greece compared to those in Australia.
Task 3
Write an email to your penfriend in Cyprus. Tell him or her about how you are finding school at the moment and what your plans are after you complete your studies.
Task 4
You have just heard that your best friend wants to leave school. Write a short letter persuading her or him to stay at school.
Task 5
You are the captain of your school. For your final Year 12 assembly you have been asked to give a speech to your fellow students and teachers. Write the text of your speech describing the last six years of your schooling.
