Sample writing tasks
Responses to each of the following tasks should be written in Greek. (150–200 words in length).
Task 1
Write the script of a telephone conversation between you and a friend where you discuss plans for your birthday party which is coming up. In your conversation, tell your friend who is invited to your party and explain why some people won’t be invited.
Task 2
You have had an argument with your friend, Panayiota, over a trivial matter. Write her an email stating your side of the story and how you feel. Suggest ways you can both solve this conflict.
Task 3
You are an exchange student in Cyprus. Write a letter to a friend back home describing the new friends you have made and the leisure activities you engage in with them.
Task 4
Imagine you are living in Greece. Email your favourite cousin in Australia persuading him or her to visit you.
Task 5
You are worried about a friend’s lifestyle. Write a letter to your friend expressing your concern and offering some advice.
