Linking Geometry and Coordinate Geometry

There are often questions in the HSC (typically Q2) which can be done by either using Coordinate Geometry or Plane Geometry

Students need to develop the skill of determining the most appropriate method for the question.

The following examples illustrate different approaches to the same question.
