About the Examination

You will not be assessed on this section externally. However, it is part of your school-based assessment. This section is worth 20 % of the final assessment mark. The questions set will be related to the themes and contemporary issues listed in the syllabus.

Preparing for the Examination

The best way to prepare for the examination is to practise. Take every opportunity to speak in Korean in a variety of contexts.

Make sure you familiarise yourself with all the themes and contemporary issues listed in the syllabus.

Familiarise yourself with phrases and structures that are used regularly in relation to the themes and contemporary issues.

Try to identify possible questions relating to the themes and contemporary issues and practise responding to them.
