Sample answer: He believed that Japanese school rules were very strict e.g. you're not allowed to have pierced ears. However, she tells him that the rules are not nearly as strict as in the past but that it depends on the school. She gives the example of her school where it's ok to have pierced ears but dyeing your hair and wearing makeup is not allowed.

Sample answer: Groups of between ten and thirty people who want a variety of authentic Japanese food in an unusual atmosphere (it's a normal house rather than set up as a restaurant) and who might also want to do karaoke. It's run by a husband and wife team (the husband makes his own noodles). Because it costs forty dollars per head, it's not for students or those who want a really cheap meal but it's very good value for home-made Japanese food.
