Task 1

What technology do you use in your daily life?

Write a letter to your Japanese penfriend telling about the technology you use, e.g. computers, Internet, e-mail, television. Ask your friend if s/he has an e-mail address, as you would like to practise your Japanese writing exchanging e-mail in the future.

Part B (reflective, persuasive, evaluative)

Task 1

Write a report for your Japanese sister school newspaper about the lifestyle of young Australians.

You should write about how young people spend their time, both at leisure and at work. Give information on what you believe to be the major issues facing young people today, such as the use of leisure time, and education and employment prospects. Offer your opinion on how these matters should be addressed.
