The children call Bu Tia to say that they are ready to leave for the market. The others ask Rena about her origami. She starts to answer as they leave for the market.

At the market, the children leave Bu Tia to visit Pak Sutan. The children fearfully pass the two tukang asah pisau. Pak Sutan is not in his usual place. Unable to find answers from anyone else there, Rena reluctantly approaches the two men who, to the children’s surprise, are helpful and give directions to Pak Sutan’s house.
They find Pak Sutan at his home. He tells them that his father has been miraculously found alive despite the tsunami. He is ecstatic and excited about the prospect of going home to spend Lebaran with his father. Pak Sutan and the children rejoice in the nearby tea fields.
The other children tell Rena that they saw Yudha at the orphanage earlier that morning and ask her why she rejected him. Topan says that, if it were him, he would be thrilled to meet his real father. Sri tells Rena to forgive Yudha, especially as it is Ramadhan, the month of forgiveness. The children further encourage Rena by saying that they would be happy for her to leave with Yudha as long as she does not forget them.
How honest do you think the other children are being when they encourage Rena to leave with Yudha?

He explains he never meant to leave her. He admits that he wasn’t strong enough to look after such a young child on his own and he now has many regrets. With much emotion, he says that as long as she can forgive him, he will grant her whatever she wishes, even if it is to stay at Rumah Matahari.
As the music starts, Rena at last replies “Terima kasih origaminya…, Ayah!” They embrace happily as father and daughter.
As Rena and Yudha play together, the children weep silently.
