Writing activities
In your answers you will be assessed on how well you demonstrate:
- relevance of the treatment of ideas, information or opinions
- accuracy of vocabulary and sentence structures
- variety of vocabulary and sentence structures
- capacity to structure and sequence responses.
Activity 1 (5 marks)
Write a short recount to your Indonesian teacher describing an incident in the playground which you have just witnessed. Write 50 – 100 words in Indonesian.
Activity 2 (5 marks)
Write an email to a friend encouraging him or her to apply for a job advertised in the paper. Outline why he or she would be suitable for that position. Write 50 – 100 words in Indonesian.
Activity 3 (10 marks)
You have just finished your work experience. Your teacher has interviewed you for an article about your work experience to be published in the school newsletter. Write the script of the interview in 150 – 200 words in Indonesian.
Activity 4 (10 marks)
You have been asked to make a speech in Indonesian to Year 10 students, describing your job experience. Write the script of your speech describing the working conditions and give advice to the students on work experience. Write 150 – 200 words in Indonesian.
Activity 5 (10 marks)
Write an article for the school newsletter with the title Baik perempuan maupun laki-laki bisa menjadi perdana menteri. Write your article of 150 – 200 words in Indonesian.
