Writing tasks

 

Each of the following tasks should be written in Indonesian and be of 150 - 200 words in length.

Task 1

Imagine you are on a Youth Exchange program in Indonesia. You have been invited to give a speech about the similarities and differences of issues faced by youth in Indonesia and Australia. Write the script of the speech.

Task 2

Imagine the day in the life of a young unemployed person. Write a description of a typical day.

Task 3

Your friend has been unemployed for a long time. Encourage him/her to find a job.

Task 4

Write a letter to a close friend describing the pressures you face at home because of your parents' expectations concerning your studies or your beliefs.

Task 5

Write a report discussing the way young people are portrayed in the media.

Task 6

Write a diary entry in which you express your frustration about your parents' decision to not allow you to see an R-rated movie with friends.

Task 7

Write an e-mail to a friend outlining the various differences of opinion with your parents which you've been experiencing lately.

Task 8

Write a letter to a young people's magazine asking for advice about how to convince your parents that you're old enough to make your own decisions.
