World of work:

Writing tasks

The following tasks should be written in Indonesan and be of 150 - 200 words in length.

Task 1

Write a letter to a friend complaining about your boss and the inequality of the wages in your company.

Task 2

Write a short memorandum to a colleague describing an incident of sexual harassment. Ask your collegue what you should do, and who you should turn to.

Task 3

Write a letter to a friend encouraging him or her to apply for a job advertised in the paper. Outline why he or she would be suitable for that position.

Task 4

Write a letter or email to a friend telling him or her that you have a part-time job. Describe your duties and what you like and dislike about the job.

Task 5

Imagine that you have been elected to represent the workers at the shop where you work. Write the script to a speech describing the poor work conditions.

Task 6

Write a short article with the title Baik perempuan maupun laki-laki bisa menjadi perdana menteri.
