Task 1

Part A (6 marks)

Write in French (100 -150 words) on ONE of the following topics.

1. You have recently moved to a new town.
   
   In a letter to your French penfriend you describe the town and the area as well as your new home.
   
   OR
   
   
2. Your school recently hosted a visit by some French students and you hosted a billet.
   
   The school magazine is producing a special edition in French to send to them as a souvenir. You are asked to write a report on the students' visit for this magazine.

Part B (9 marks)

Write in French (100-150 words) on ONE of the following topics:

1. You will shortly be eligible to obtain your driving licence. A new law states that you will have a Provisional licence for three years.
   
   Write an article for the school magazine giving your views on this new development.
   
   OR
   
   
2. Your older brother/sister has recently moved to another city.
   
   In your diary you reflect on the influence he/she has had on your life.
