Task 1

Part A (6 marks)

Answer ONE of the following questions. Write 100-150 words in FRENCH

(i) You send an e-mail message to your friend telling her / him about a film you have just seen.

OR

(ii) You are going to a music concert with your friends, but your French host parents are not there to be told of the arrangements.

You leave them a memo telling them details of your plans for the night.

AND

Part B (9 marks)

Answer ONE of the following questions. Write 100-150 words in FRENCH

(i) You are very keen to see a particular performance and try to persuade your friend to see it with you as you don't want to go there alone. However, your friend is hesitant about your choice of program.

Write the conversation that takes place.

OR

(ii) At the end of an excursion to an art gallery, you have been asked to write your personal reaction to one or more paintings by a famous French artist.

Describe the painting(s) and what it / they mean to you.
