In the core strand, The Australian Food Industry, you
study the sectors of the food industry and aspects of the food
industry. You will learn to describe the activities carried out
in one organisation within the food industry.

- In preparing for the HSC it is a good idea to summarise your
work. Complete the table below to summarise the information you
gathered during your investigation of an organisation within the Australian food industry. This table will then be a useful

The following question is a useful way of expanding the information

in style to the questions you would find in Section III of the
HSC exam, however there are more parts to it. This is a revision
exercise.
- The Australian food industry consists
of four sectors, using an organisation you have studied within
the food industry:
- Outline the activities of the organisation.
- Explain the internal and external factors contributing
to and influencing the activities of the organisation.
- Identify which sector of the Australian food
industry that the organisation belongs.
- Discuss issues facing this sector and how they
may impact on the organisation you have studied.
- List the future directions for the organisation.
- Describe quality management strategies
that may have been used.
