Staging personnel

There are a number of occupations in the staging area of the entertainment industry, from highly technical lighting and sound design to hands-on prop building. They all involve specialist skills that are quite diverse, but all require the ability to work in a team and communicate well with colleagues. An excellent resource available on the internet, “Careers in Technical Theater” by Mike Lawler provides details about a number of roles of staging personnel in theatre production. To find it go to: http://books.google.com/books (external website) then type in ‘Careers in Technical Theater’
