Scenario - Dance concert

Your company has been engaged to ‘Bump In’ and operate audio, lighting and vision systems equipment for a dance concert at the local community hall. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start. The venue has been booked for you to ‘Bump In’ from 9:00am. A FOH crew will be arriving at 5:00pm to set up the chairs for the audience. You may assume that the venue has appropriate three phase and single phase power, and flying bars FOH and over the stage. Suitable work platforms are available to reach all overhead bars.

Write up a list for audio, lighting and vision systems equipment that you will be using (there is no equipment provided by the venue).
Draw up lists and stage plans for placement and installation of audio, lighting and vision systems equipment (one set for each discipline).
Write a ‘Bump In’ schedule with tasks prioritised for an efficient day. Deadlines for tasks to be completed should be included. (Make sure you include breaks for crew). You have a crew of 6 people, two for each area (audio, lighting & vision).
Write a list of instructions you would issue to your crew when they arrive, detailing their work tasks.
