Introduction to the Standard Course

Electives in the English (Standard) Course must be considered in the context of the module descriptions, course objectives, content and outcomes. (Reread English Stage 6 Syllabus pp 33–38.)

Students must study each of the modules:

Module A: Experience Through Language

Elective 1: Distinctive Voices
Elective 2: Distinctively Visual

Module B: Close Study of Text

Close study of Text

Module C: Texts and Society

Elective 1: The Global Village
Elective 2: Into the World

Students must also complete the Area of Study (common for Standard and Advanced courses) section.
