Question 6

Write an engineering report on ONE of the following aspects of telecommunications engineering:

  1. Telecommunications engineering innovation and its effects on peoples lives
  2. The structure, properties and uses of materials in telecommunications applications
  3. The basic principles of satellite based communications systems
  4. The training and career prospects within the telecommunications profession (check out some university and TAFE College websites by using a search engine on the web).

To write an engineering report on one, or more, of the topics in this question you should use the guidelines provided in HSC Online under Engineering Studies, Engineering Reports Selecting this link will take you to an external site.

Use the various categories listed there to structure your report. Research relevant information from your chosen topic that you can include under each category. In this way you can break down a large task into much more manageable parts. As you write information under each category you will gradually build up a sound report.

When you have completed your report, add some relevant images (drawings and photographs), complete your bibliography and submit it to your teacher to get an opinion as to how well you have done.
