Major Design Projects
This project was inspired by personal interest in alternate lifestyles, environmental issues and fashion. Having learned about textiles at school from years 7 through to 10, this student decided to combine all of her interests into one project. The project allowed the student to test and experiment with a wide range of recycled materials, including the inner tubes from tyres. The result was the design and production of a very unique garment and also a range of accessories made from recycled materials.

The following excerpts come from the student's folio and do not necessarily represent the entire section of that students work under a particular heading. They are designed to provide a brief insight into the development of the project.
identification and exploration of the need
documentation of design ideas
identification and justification of ideas and resources used
documentation of research, experimentation and testing
analysis and evaluation of functional and aesthetic aspects of design
