This project came about when the student designer was approached by a client who intended backpacking around Mexico, America and Canada. the client was concerned that current designs in backpacks did not cater to individual needs and were not particularly multifunctional, durable or comfortable. Completing the project allowed the student to design many different backpacks and experiment with a number of different fabrics. The result was a multifunctional backpack with a detachable daypack and chair.
