Major Design Projects
This project came about from the personal experiences of the student. Having worked part-time in the catering and hospitality industry for two years, the student identified that there was a real need for a book which could serve as an introduction to this industry and that would provide the reader with information and tips on how to work safely and efficiently in this environment. The book would be designed to suit a person at entry level to this industry and would also have a humorous edge to keep the reader interested and entertained. The design and production of this book also served a dual purpose in that it allowed the student to learn about and experiment with aspects of graphic design, photography and book design.
The following excerpts come from the student's folio and do not necessarily represent the entire section of that students work under a particular heading. They are designed to provide a brief insight into the development of the project.
