It is an employer's responsibility to make sure that any plant (machinery) or substance provided for use by their employees at work is safe and without risks to health when properly used.

Exits from and access to the workplace must not be blocked.

Employers are responsible for ensuring that any system of work and the working environment of their employees are without risk to their health.

Employers are not responsible for providing adequate facilities for the welfare of the employees at work.

Employers are responsible for providing such information, training and supervision as may be necessary to ensure the employees' health and safety at work.
