This unit specifies the competency required to communicate effectively with other workers in a general construction workplace environment.

Defining the terms

“Interactive workplace communication” means information must have a two-way flow. This means that a common language needs to be used. The communication of information may be written, verbal or non-verbal. All are essential on any construction site.
