Working in pairs, discuss then act out the following situations in order to show your understanding of this competency.

You have just started a new job in a real estate office. Your supervisor is explaining to you the importance of setting up your workstation correctly. You ask questions to make sure that you fully understand what is being said.
Your desk is situated near the photocopier in an area with inadequate lighting. You often leave work with a headache and feeling sick. You decide to talk to your supervisor about this problem.
You are a member of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. You have identified four possible safety hazards in a safety audit of the office. Discuss the importance of risk control with your employer.
Another employee notices that you are not using correct manual handling and lifting techniques. She comes over to explain to you what you are doing wrong and shows you the correct technique you should be using. You ask many questions before you fully grasp the concept.
