• Albury-Deniliquin Science Teachers have a webboard referred to as Denbury , which was established in 2001 by Gillian Mullholland, then District Science Consultant, NSW Department of Education and Training, to allow science teachers to share ideas in their teaching of the new NSW science syllabuses. Teachers are welcome to log-on as a guest or register as a regular user.

• The Biology section of the web site of Learning Materials Production (LMP), a unit of the NSW Department of Education and Training that develops materials for delivery to distance education students. The site has recommended module-specific links.

• The Biology section , of the UniServe Science, UniServe Science a site maintained by Sydney University, seeks to enhance the quality of university and school science teaching by maintaining and disseminating information on up-to-date and innovative materials for use throughout Australia. The site also publishes reviews, criticism and ideas related to teaching and learning materials for science. It is a great starting point if you are seeking information on syllabus content. The site has recommended module-specific links.

• Science events for high schools is a web site of Macquarie University designed to provide information about science events for high school.

• Museum of Human Disease , School of Pathology, University of NSW has exhibits and resources to support the Stage 6 Biology and Senior Science syllabuses. The museum offers a two-hour excursion package for senior biology students.

  • HSC Enrichment Program 2001: Macquarie offers one-day courses in Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Science and Physics. The program is held at Macquarie's North Ryde Campus. Courses are generally conducted during the Easter school break and July school break, or else on a Saturday. For more information and an application form please see the HSC Enrichment Web site.

  • University of Sydney Eureka Schools Prize for Biological Sciences : Schools are invited to submit entries for this national Prize, awarded for submission of a web page entry from one or more students. The Prize is designed to encourage awareness of the biological sciences in the secondary school system across Australia, and to reward excellence in the investigation and study of biology.
