  1. Why did the composer feel sad and worried ten years ago?
    He was sad because he had just left his country of origin and was on his way to another country he knew nothing about. He was worried that he would not like it and wouldn’t adapt to life there.

  2. Why did his feelings change? Give details.
    He now likes it and is used to it. He has no other place to call home. The new country has given him everything he wanted, education, a job and freedom.

  3. How does the language of the text reveal the composer's feelings? Use examples from the text to support your answer.
    He provides a detailed description of how he felt in the past:

The employer will hire Amani as she has a lot of experience in secretarial work. She meets all the job criteria; she speaks more than one language and is a fast typist. She is also very confident and has the willingness and ability to learn more on the job. She is very confident too.
