‘How are you today’
My name is Christine Morgan. I am the eldest daughter of Noel and Mary Browning and I am a Bundjalung woman.
I was raised in Fingal with my two brothers and sister. My parents and my extended family at Fingal, instilled in me my
love of family and the importance of the family unit.
My parents encouraged us to strive for a good education and career, but always stressed that you should be happy with whatever
you do.
After completing High School and Business College, I was employed with a firm of solicitors as a Law Clerk for seventeen years.
I was married in 1963 to Cedric Charles Morgan and we had three children, Tracey, Clinton and Martin.
In 1983 I applied for, and was appointed as, the Aboriginal Education Assistant at Tweed River High School. I applied for this
position because of my love of children and my belief that education and family is the key to a better life, no matter what profession or job
you choose.
